Sian Liu (Jonathan) is an accomplished entrepreneur, brain trauma specialist, and AWS-certified DevOps engineer with over 12 years of relevant experience. He is currently the Founder & Catalyst of Beyond Broken Brains, a non-profit organization he founded in 2014 that is dedicated to improving the lives of people & families affected by brain injuries via community, collaboration. Sian's organization aims to use a data-driven approach to build a one-stop platform of localized head injury resources, filling the gap of resources available in Singapore for this community. Prior to founding Beyond Broken Brains, Sian was an Entrepreneur at Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm that invests in the defining technology companies of tomorrow. In the last two years, Antler has made over 200 portfolio company investments across 30 industries and has opened offices across six continents and most major entrepreneurial hubs. Sian also served as the DevOps Lead at Wallex, an international payments company that simplifies all things cross-border for SMEs and individuals alike. Wallex is licensed in Singapore, Indonesia, and Hong Kong with backers including Beenext, CCV (BCA Bank), and 500 Startups. Sian's educational background includes a BS in Math & Computer Science from San Jose State University and a Health Promotion Board certification in Workplace Health Promotion for Facilitators from the Singapore National Employers Federation. He has also completed a Python Programming course at General Assembly and holds a CISSP certification from ISS. Sian's technical expertise includes AWS, DevOps, infra, and AI. He is a highly motivated individual who is passionate about using technology to make a positive impact on people's lives.
